- Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
- "On the first day of the first month you shall raise up the tabernacle of the Tent of Meeting.
- You shall put the ark of the testimony in it, and you shall screen the ark with the veil.
- You shall bring in the table, and set in order the things that are on it. You shall bring in the lampstand, and light its lamps.
- You shall set the golden altar for incense before the ark of the testimony, and put the screen of the door to the tabernacle.
- "You shall set the altar of burnt offering before the door of the tabernacle of the Tent of Meeting.
- You shall set the basin between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and shall put water therein.
- You shall set up the court around it, and hang up the screen of the gate of the court.
- "You shall take the anointing oil, and anoint the tabernacle, and all that is in it, and shall make it holy, and all its furniture: and it will be holy.
- You shall anoint the altar of burnt offering, with all its vessels, and sanctify the altar: and the altar will be most holy.
- You shall anoint the basin and its base, and sanctify it.
- "You shall bring Aaron and his sons to the door of the Tent of Meeting, and shall wash them with water.
- You shall put on Aaron the holy garments; and you shall anoint him, and sanctify him, that he may minister to me in the priest's office.
- You shall bring his sons, and put coats on them.
- You shall anoint them, as you anointed their father, that they may minister to me in the priest's office. Their anointing shall be to them for an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations."
- Moses did so. According to all that Yahweh commanded him, so he did.
- It happened in the first month in the second year, on the first day of the month, that the tabernacle was raised up.
- Moses raised up the tabernacle, and laid its sockets, and set up its boards, and put in its bars, and raised up its pillars.
- He spread the covering over the tent, and put the roof of the tabernacle above on it, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
- He took and put the testimony into the ark, and set the poles on the ark, and put the mercy seat above on the ark.
- He brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up the veil of the screen, and screened the ark of the testimony, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
- He put the table in the Tent of Meeting, on the side of the tabernacle northward, outside of the veil.
- He set the bread in order on it before Yahweh, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
- He put the lampstand in the Tent of Meeting, opposite the table, on the side of the tabernacle southward.
- He lit the lamps before Yahweh, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
- He put the golden altar in the Tent of Meeting before the veil;
- and he burnt incense of sweet spices on it, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
- He put up the screen of the door to the tabernacle.
- He set the altar of burnt offering at the door of the tabernacle of the Tent of Meeting, and offered on it the burnt offering and the meal offering, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
- He set the basin between the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and put water therein, with which to wash.
- Moses, Aaron, and his sons washed their hands and their feet there.
- When they went into the Tent of Meeting, and when they came near to the altar, they washed, as Yahweh commanded Moses.
- He raised up the court around the tabernacle and the altar, and set up the screen of the gate of the court. So Moses finished the work.
- Then the cloud covered the Tent of Meeting, and the glory of Yahweh filled the tabernacle.
- Moses wasn't able to enter into the Tent of Meeting, because the cloud stayed on it, and Yahweh's glory filled the tabernacle.
- When the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the children of Israel went onward, throughout all their journeys;
- but if the cloud wasn't taken up, then they didn't travel until the day that it was taken up.
- For the cloud of Yahweh was on the tabernacle by day, and there was fire in the cloud by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.

- וידבר יהוה אל־משה לאמר׃
- ביום־החדש הראשון באחד לחדש תקים את־משכן אהל מועד׃
- ושמת שם את ארון העדות וסכת על־הארן את־הפרכת׃
- והבאת את־השלחן וערכת את־ערכו והבאת את־המנרה והעלית את־נרתיה׃
- ונתתה את־מזבח הזהב לקטרת לפני ארון העדת ושמת את־מסך הפתח למשכן׃
- ונתתה את מזבח העלה לפני פתח משכן אהל־מועד׃
- ונתת את־הכיר בין־אהל מועד ובין המזבח ונתת שם מים׃
- ושמת את־החצר סביב ונתת את־מסך שער החצר׃
- ולקחת את־שמן המשחה ומשחת את־המשכן ואת־כל־אשר־בו וקדשת אתו ואת־כל־כליו והיה קדש׃
- ומשחת את־מזבח העלה ואת־כל־כליו וקדשת את־המזבח והיה המזבח קדש קדשים׃
- ומשחת את־הכיר ואת־כנו וקדשת אתו׃
- והקרבת את־אהרן ואת־בניו אל־פתח אהל מועד ורחצת אתם במים׃
- והלבשת את־אהרן את בגדי הקדש ומשחת אתו וקדשת אתו וכהן לי׃
- ואת־בניו תקריב והלבשת אתם כתנת׃
- ומשחת אתם כאשר משחת את־אביהם וכהנו לי והיתה להית להם משחתם לכהנת עולם לדרתם׃
- ויעש משה ככל אשר צוה יהוה אתו כן עשה׃ ס
- ויהי בחדש הראשון בשנה השנית באחד לחדש הוקם המשכן׃
- ויקם משה את־המשכן ויתן את־אדניו וישם את־קרשיו ויתן את־בריחיו ויקם את־עמודיו׃
- ויפרש את־האהל על־המשכן וישם את־מכסה האהל עליו מלמעלה כאשר צוה יהוה את־משה׃ ס
- ויקח ויתן את־העדת אל־הארן וישם את־הבדים על־הארן ויתן את־הכפרת על־הארן מלמעלה׃
- ויבא את־הארן אל־המשכן וישם את פרכת המסך ויסך על ארון העדות כאשר צוה יהוה את־משה׃ ס
- ויתן את־השלחן באהל מועד על ירך המשכן צפנה מחוץ לפרכת׃
- ויערך עליו ערך לחם לפני יהוה כאשר צוה יהוה את־משה׃ ס
- וישם את־המנרה באהל מועד נכח השלחן על ירך המשכן נגבה׃
- ויעל הנרת לפני יהוה כאשר צוה יהוה את־משה׃ ס
- וישם את־מזבח הזהב באהל מועד לפני הפרכת׃
- ויקטר עליו קטרת סמים כאשר צוה יהוה את־משה׃ ף
- וישם את־מסך הפתח למשכן׃
- ואת מזבח העלה שם פתח משכן אהל־מועד ויעל עליו את־העלה ואת־המנחה כאשר צוה יהוה את־משה׃ ס
- וישם את־הכיר בין־אהל מועד ובין המזבח ויתן שמה מים לרחצה׃
- ורחצו ממנו משה ואהרן ובניו את־ידיהם ואת־רגליהם׃
- בבאם אל־אהל מועד ובקרבתם אל־המזבח ירחצו כאשר צוה יהוה את־משה׃ ס
- ויקם את־החצר סביב למשכן ולמזבח ויתן את־מסך שער החצר ויכל משה את־המלאכה׃ ף
- ויכס העןן את־אהל מועד וכבוד יהוה מלא את־המשכן׃
- ולא־יכל משה לבוא אל־אהל מועד כי־שכן עליו העןן וכבוד יהוה מלא את־המשכן׃
- ובהעלות העןן מעל המשכן יסעו בני ישראל בכל מסעיהם׃
- ואם־לא יעלה העןן ולא יסעו עד־יום העלתו׃
- כי עןן יהוה על־המשכן יוםם ואש תהיה לילה בו לעיני כל־בית־ישראל בכל־מסעיהם׃

- Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen, dicens :
- Mense primo, prima die mensis, eriges tabernaculum testimonii,
- et pones in eo arcam, dimittesque ante illam velum :
- et illata mensa, pones super eam quæ rite præcepta sunt. Candelabrum stabit cum lucernis suis,
- et altare aureum, in quo adoletur incensum, coram arca testimonii. Tentorium in introitu tabernaculi pones,
- et ante illud altare holocausti :
- labrum inter altare et tabernaculum, quod implebis aqua.
- Circumdabisque atrium tentoriis, et ingressum ejus.
- Et assumpto unctionis oleo unges tabernaculum cum vasis suis, ut sanctificentur :
- altare holocausti et omnia vasa ejus,
- labrum cum basi sua : omnia unctionis oleo consecrabis, ut sint Sancta sanctorum.
- Applicabisque Aaron et filios ejus ad fores tabernaculi testimonii, et lotos aqua
- indues sanctis vestibus, ut ministrent mihi, et unctio eorum in sacerdotium sempiternum proficiat.

- Cumque intulisset arcam in tabernaculum, appendit ante eam velum ut expleret Domini jussionem.
- Posuit et mensam in tabernaculo testimonii ad plagam septentrionalem extra velum,
- ordinatis coram propositionis panibus, sicut præceperat Dominus Moysi.
- Posuit et candelabrum in tabernaculo testimonii e regione mensæ in parte australi,
- locatis per ordinem lucernis, juxta præceptum Domini.
- Posuit et altare aureum sub tecto testimonii contra velum,
- et adolevit super eo incensum aromatum, sicut jusserat Dominus Moysi.
- Posuit et tentorium in introitu tabernaculi testimonii,
- et altare holocausti in vestibulo testimonii, offerens in eo holocaustum, et sacrificia, ut Dominus imperaverat.
- Labrum quoque statuit inter tabernaculum testimonii et altare, implens illud aqua.
- Laveruntque Moyses et Aaron ac filii ejus manus suas et pedes,
- cum ingrederentur tectum fœderis, et accederent ad altare, sicut præceperat Dominus Moysi.
- Erexit et atrium per gyrum tabernaculi et altaris, ducto in introitu ejus tentorio. Postquam omnia perfecta sunt,
- operuit nubes tabernaculum testimonii, et gloria Domini implevit illud.
- Nec poterat Moyses ingredi tectum fœderis, nube operiente omnia, et majestate Domini coruscante, quia cuncta nubes operuerat.
- Siquando nubes tabernaculum deserebat, proficiscebantur filii Israël per turmas suas :
- si pendebat desuper, manebant in eodem loco.
- Nubes quippe Domini incubabat per diem tabernaculo, et ignis in nocte, videntibus cunctis populis Israël per cunctas mansiones suas.

- And thou shalt bring in the table, and set in order the things that are to be set in order upon it; and thou shalt bring in the candlestick, and light the lamps thereof.
- And thou shalt set the altar of gold for the incense before the ark of the testimony, and put the hanging of the door to the tabernacle.
- And thou shalt set the altar of the burnt offering before the door of the tabernacle of the tent of the congregation.
- And thou shalt set the laver between the tent of the congregation and the altar, and shalt put water therein.
- And thou shalt set up the court round about, and hang up the hanging at the court gate.
