The epistles of the New Testament are Christian writings of Apostles to churches in particular parts of the world. The most prolific of apostolic writers was Paul. Those not written by him are known as the "general epistles" and include Hebrews, James, 1 Peter, 2 Peter, 1 John, 2 John, 3 John and Jude.
