Heritage is serious about making a splash in our world!
We believe that the Church must engage the world in order to be able to make a difference in it. We offer outreach activities that connect to the community at several different levels.
Some of our activities are designed to shock large amounts of people with kindness. People are not used to churches thinking about their needs and offering them assistance. These types of activities range from returning shopping carts to leaving an extra tip for your server with an encouraging note from the church.
Some of our activities are designed to give us an opportunity to begin to get to know people and have a chance to begin discussing church and other spiritual issues. Our gas buy down events are a good example. Here we lower the price of their gas .20 a gallon and pump it for them. This gives us an opportunity to have a 5 minute conversation about why we would be out ministering to the public, and those conversations often turn to their need for a church.
Some of our projects are designed to build long-term relationships that often yield salvation decisions. We often partner with other organizations for these opportunities. One such ministry is an ongoing relationship some of our folks have with a housing project.
