Hosea 2 is a passage about the unfaithfulness of [[Hosea]]'s wife [[Gomer]] as a symbol that explains how Israel has treated God. Gomer did not recognize that her material benefits were from Hosea but attributed them to her lovers. Likewise Israel did not recognize that its good things came from God but it gave credit to Baal and pagan gods. Despite this, God will bring his people back to him
