Hebrew למה צמנו ולא ראית ענינו נפשנו ולא תדע הן ביום צםכם תמצאו־חפץ וכל־עצביכם תנגשו׃
Greek λεγοντες τι οτι ενηστευσαμεν και ουκ ειδες εταπεινωσαμεν τας ψυχας ημων και ουκ εγνως εν γαρ ταις ημεραις των νηστειων υμων ευρισκετε τα θεληματα υμων και παντας τους υποχειριους υμων
Latin Quare jejunavimus, et non aspexisti ; humiliavimus animas nostras, et nescisti ? Ecce in die jejunii vestri invenitur voluntas vestra, et omnes debitores vestros repetitis.
KJV Wherefore have we fasted, say they, and thou seest not? wherefore have we afflicted our soul, and thou takest no knowledge? Behold, in the day of your fast ye find pleasure, and exact all your labours.
