The children of Israel did as Joshua commanded, and took up twelve stones out of the middle of the Jordan, as Yahweh spoke to Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel; and they carried them over with them to the place where they lodged, and laid them down there.

Hebrew ויעשו־כן בני־ישראל כאשר צוה יהושע וישאו שתי־עשרה אבנים מתוך הירדן כאשר דבר יהוה אל־יהושע למספר שבטי בני־ישראל ויעברום עםם אל־המלון וינחום שם׃
Greek και εποιησαν ουτως οι υιοι ισραηλ καθοτι ενετειλατο κυριος τω ιησοι και λαβοντες δωδεκα λιθους εκ μεσου του ιορδανου καθαπερ συνεταξεν κυριος τω ιησοι εν τη συντελεια της διαβασεως των υιων ισραηλ και διεκομισαν αμα εαυτοις εις την παρεμβολην και απεθηκαν
Latin Fecerunt ergo filii Israël sicut præcepit eis Josue, portantes de medio Jordanis alveo duodecim lapides, ut Dominus ei imperarat, juxta numerum filiorum Israël, usque ad locum in quo castrametati sunt, ibique posuerunt eos.
