Jozy Pollock jokes that she gave up the hula hoop for the cross. She was Britain’s hula hoop queen, but her career came to a halt when she married the famous magician Channing Pollock. She appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show and performed in Las Vegas as Channing’s assistant. After accepting Jesus as Lord and Savior, Jozy gave up a life of glamour and volunteered with the prison chaplain services at East Lake Juvenile Hall in downtown Los Angeles. She became the first Protestant female chaplain at Los Angeles Men’s Central Jail. Noelle Aimee Kozell directed a documentary about Jozy’s twenty years in prison ministry entitled On ''Faith Alone: The Jozy Pollock Story''. Throughout her life, she has met and befriended celebrities and understands from personal experience that many celebrities do not have the peace and love that comes from having a personal relationship with God.
