Justification by faith has various meanings. Select from these possibilities:

  • Justification by faith alone - This is the teaching of Protestant churches that a person is justified by his faith alone and not on the basis of his good works
  • Justification - This is the teaching of all Christian denominations that a person is justified by his faith. Protestant churches teach that a person is justified by faith alone whereas Eastern Orthodox and Catholic churches teach that a person is justified by faith and works.
