- Yahweh said to Moses,
- "Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them, 'I am Yahweh your God.
- You shall not do as they do in the land of Egypt, where you lived: and you shall not do as they do in the land of Canaan, where I am bringing you; neither shall you walk in their statutes.
- You shall do my ordinances, and you shall keep my statutes, and walk in them: I am Yahweh your God.
- You shall therefore keep my statutes and my ordinances; which if a man does, he shall live in them: I am Yahweh.
- "'None of you shall approach anyone who are his close relatives, to uncover their nakedness: I am Yahweh.
- "'You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father, nor the nakedness of your mother: she is your mother. You shall not uncover her nakedness.
- "'You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father's wife: it is your father's nakedness.
- "'You shall not uncover the nakedness of your sister, the daughter of your father, or the daughter of your mother, whether born at home, or born abroad.
- "'You shall not uncover the nakedness of your son's daughter, or of your daughter's daughter, even their nakedness: for theirs is your own nakedness.
- "'You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father's wife's daughter, conceived by your father, since she is your sister.
- "'You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father's sister: she is your father's near kinswoman.
- "'You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother's sister: for she is your mother's near kinswoman.
- "'You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father's brother, you shall not approach his wife: she is your aunt.
- "'You shall not uncover the nakedness of your daughter-in-law: she is your son's wife. You shall not uncover her nakedness.
- "'You shall not uncover the nakedness of your brother's wife: it is your brother's nakedness.
- "'You shall not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter. You shall not take her son's daughter, or her daughter's daughter, to uncover her nakedness; they are near kinswomen: it is wickedness.
- "'You shall not take a wife to her sister, to be a rival, to uncover her nakedness, while her sister is yet alive.
- "'You shall not approach a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is impure by her uncleanness.
- "'You shall not lie carnally with your neighbor's wife, and defile yourself with her.
- "'You shall not give any of your children to sacrifice to Molech; neither shall you profane the name of your God: I am Yahweh.
- "'You shall not lie with a man, as with a woman. That is detestable.
- "'You shall not lie with any animal to defile yourself with it; neither shall any woman give herself to an animal, to lie down with it: it is a perversion.
- "'Don't defile yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations which I am casting out before you were defiled.
- The land was defiled: therefore I punished its iniquity, and the land vomited out her inhabitants.
- You therefore shall keep my statutes and my ordinances, and shall not do any of these abominations; neither the native-born, nor the stranger who lives as a foreigner among you;
- (for all these abominations have the men of the land done, that were before you, and the land became defiled);
- that the land not vomit you out also, when you defile it, as it vomited out the nation that was before you.
- "'For whoever shall do any of these abominations, even the souls that do them shall be cut off from among their people.
- Therefore you shall keep my requirements, that you do not practice any of these abominable customs, which were practiced before you, and that you do not defile yourselves with them: I am Yahweh your God.'"

- וידבר יהוה אל־משה לאמר׃
- דבר אל־בני ישראל ואמרת אלהם אני יהוה אלהיכם׃
- כמעשה ארץ־מצרים אשר ישבתם־בה לא תעשו וכמעשה ארץ־כנען אשר אני מביא אתכם שמה לא תעשו ובחקתיהם לא תלכו׃
- את־משפטי תעשו ואת־חקתי תשמרו ללכת בהם אני יהוה אלהיכם׃
- ושמרתם את־חקתי ואת־משפטי אשר יעשה אתם האדם וחי בהם אני יהוה׃ ס
- איש איש אל־כל־שאר בשרו לא תקרבו לגלות ערוה אני יהוה׃ ס
- ערות אביך וערות אמך לא תגלה אמך הוא לא תגלה ערותה׃ ס
- ערות אשת־אביך לא תגלה ערות אביך הוא׃ ס
- ערות אחותך בת־אביך או בת־אמך מולדת בית או מולדת חוץ לא תגלה ערותן׃ ס
- ערות בת־בנך או בת־בתך לא תגלה ערותן כי ערותך הנה׃ ס
- ערות בת־אשת אביך מולדת אביך אחותך הוא לא תגלה ערותה׃ ס
- ערות אחות־אביך לא תגלה שאר אביך הוא׃ ס
- ערות אחות־אמך לא תגלה כי־שאר אמך הוא׃ ס
- ערות אחי־אביך לא תגלה אל־אשתו לא תקרב דדתך הוא׃ ס
- ערות כלתך לא תגלה אשת בנך הוא לא תגלה ערותה׃ ס
- ערות אשת־אחיך לא תגלה ערות אחיך הוא׃ ס
- ערות אשה ובתה לא תגלה את־בת־בנה ואת־בת־בתה לא תקח לגלות ערותה שארה הנה זמה הוא׃
- ואשה אל־אחתה לא תקח לצרר לגלות ערותה עליה בחייה׃
- ואל־אשה בנדת טמאתה לא תקרב לגלות ערותה׃
- ואל־אשת עמיתך לא־תתן שכבתך לזרע לטמאה־בה׃
- ומזרעך לא־תתן להעביר למלך ולא תחלל את־שם אלהיך אני יהוה׃
- ואת־זכר לא תשכב משכבי אשה תועבה הוא׃
- ובכל־בהמה לא־תתן שכבתך לטמאה־בה ואשה לא־תעמד לפני בהמה לרבעה תבל הוא׃
- אל־תטמאו בכל־אלה כי בכל־אלה נטמאו הגוים אשר־אני משלח מפניכם׃
- ותטמא הארץ ואפקד עונה עליה ותקא הארץ את־ישביה׃
- ושמרתם אתם את־חקתי ואת־משפטי ולא תעשו מכל התועבת האלה האזרח והגר הגר בתוככם׃
- כי את־כל־התועבת האל עשו אנשי־הארץ אשר לפניכם ותטמא הארץ׃
- ולא־תקיא הארץ אתכם בטמאכם אתה כאשר קאה את־הגוי אשר לפניכם׃
- כי כל־אשר יעשה מכל התועבות האלה ונכרתו הנפשות העשת מקרב עםם׃
- ושמרתם את־משמרתי לבלתי עשות מחקות התועבת אשר נעשו לפניכם ולא תטמאו בהם אני יהוה אלהיכם׃ ף

- Locutus est Dominus ad Moysen, dicens :
- Loquere filiis Israël, et dices ad eos : Ego Dominus Deus vester :
- juxta consuetudinem terræ Ægypti, in qua habitastis, non facietis : et juxta morem regionis Chanaan, ad quam ego introducturus sum vos, non agetis, nec in legitimis eorum ambulabitis.
- Facietis judicia mea, et præcepta mea servabitis, et ambulabitis in eis. Ego Dominus Deus vester.
- Custodite leges meas atque judicia, quæ faciens homo, vivet in eis. Ego Dominus.
- Omnis homo ad proximam sanguinis sui non accedet, ut revelet turpitudinem ejus. Ego Dominus.
- Turpitudinem patris tui, turpitudinem matris tuæ non discooperies : mater tua est : non revelabis turpitudinem ejus.
- Turpitudinem uxoris patris tui non discooperies : turpitudo enim patris tui est.
- Turpitudinem sororis tuæ ex patre sive ex matre, quæ domi vel foris genita est, non revelabis.
- Turpitudinem filiæ filii tui vel neptis ex filia non revelabis : quia turpitudo tua est.
- Turpitudinem filiæ uxoris patris tui, quam peperit patri tuo, et est soror tua, non revelabis.
- Turpitudinem sororis patris tui non discooperies : quia caro est patris tui.

- Turpitudinem uxoris fratris tui non revelabis : quia turpitudo fratris tui est.
- Turpitudinem uxoris tuæ et filiæ ejus non revelabis. Filiam filii ejus, et filiam filiæ illius non sumes, ut reveles ignominiam ejus : quia caro illius sunt, et talis coitus incestus est.
- Sororem uxoris tuæ in pellicatum illius non accipies, nec revelabis turpitudinem ejus adhuc illa vivente.
- Ad mulierem quæ patitur menstrua non accedes, nec revelabis fœditatem ejus.
- Cum uxore proximi tui non coibis, nec seminis commistione maculaberis.
- De semine tuo non dabis ut consecretur idolo Moloch, nec pollues nomen Dei tui. Ego Dominus.
- Cum masculo non commiscearis coitu femineo, quia abominatio est.
- Cum omni pecore non coibis, nec maculaberis cum eo. Mulier non succumbet jumento, nec miscebitur ei, quia scelus est.
- Nec polluamini in omnibus his quibus contaminatæ sunt universæ gentes, quas ego ejiciam ante conspectum vestrum,
- et quibus polluta est terra : cujus ego scelera visitabo, ut evomat habitatores suos.
- Custodite legitima mea atque judicia, et non faciatis ex omnibus abominationibus istis, tam indigena quam colonus qui peregrinantur apud vos.
- Omnes enim execrationes istas fecerunt accolæ terræ qui fuerunt ante vos, et polluerunt eam.
- Cavete ergo ne et vos similiter evomat, cum paria feceritis, sicut evomuit gentem, quæ fuit ante vos.
- Omnis anima, quæ fecerit de abominationibus his quippiam, peribit de medio populi sui.
- Custodite mandata mea. Nolite facere quæ fecerunt hi qui fuerunt ante vos, et ne polluamini in eis. Ego Dominus Deus vester.

- And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
- Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, I am the LORD your God.
- After the doings of the land of Egypt, wherein ye dwelt, shall ye not do: and after the doings of the land of Canaan, whither I bring you, shall ye not do: neither shall ye walk in their ordinances.
- Ye shall do my judgments, and keep mine ordinances, to walk therein: I am the LORD your God.
- Ye shall therefore keep my statutes, and my judgments: which if a man do, he shall live in them: I am the LORD.
- None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness: I am the LORD.
- The nakedness of thy father, or the nakedness of thy mother, shalt thou not uncover: she is thy mother; thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
- The nakedness of thy father's wife shalt thou not uncover: it is thy father's nakedness.
- The nakedness of thy sister, the daughter of thy father, or daughter of thy mother, whether she be born at home, or born abroad, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover.
- The nakedness of thy son's daughter, or of thy daughter's daughter, even their nakedness thou shalt not uncover: for theirs is thine own nakedness.
- The nakedness of thy father's wife's daughter, begotten of thy father, she is thy sister, thou shalt not uncover her nakedness.
- Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's sister: she is thy father's near kinswoman.
- Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy mother's sister: for she is thy mother's near kinswoman.
- Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy father's brother, thou shalt not approach to his wife: she is thine aunt.

- Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of thy brother's wife: it is thy brother's nakedness.
- Thou shalt not uncover the nakedness of a woman and her daughter, neither shalt thou take her son's daughter, or her daughter's daughter, to uncover her nakedness; for they are her near kinswomen: it is wickedness.
- Neither shalt thou take a wife to her sister, to vex her, to uncover her nakedness, beside the other in her life time.
- Also thou shalt not approach unto a woman to uncover her nakedness, as long as she is put apart for her uncleanness.
- Moreover thou shalt not lie carnally with thy neighbour's wife, to defile thyself with her.
- And thou shalt not let any of thy seed pass through the fire to Molech, neither shalt thou profane the name of thy God: I am the LORD.
- Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.
- Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion.
- Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you:
- And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.
- Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you:
- (For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled;)
- That the land spue not you out also, when ye defile it, as it spued out the nations that were before you.
- For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people.
- Therefore shall ye keep mine ordinance, that ye commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I am the LORD your God.
