Muslim Women in Heaven (JBJ)

It is clear that Muhammad taught most of hell was women, but there is little information on women in heaven. Muhammad certainly says that some women will enter heaven but does not spend nearly as much attention on women as men. This unfairness to women shows the Qur'an does not speak to equally to females and males of all cultures as Muslims claim.

History of the Qur'an on Women

There is a clear progression of Muhammad's inclusion of women. The respected historian Ibn Kathir writes,

"Imam Ahmad recorded that Umm Salamah, may Allah be pleased with her, the wife of the Prophet said, "I said to the Prophet, ‘Why is it that we are not mentioned in the Qur'an as men are.’ Then one day without my realizing it, he was calling from the Minbar and I was combing my hair, so I tied my hair back then I went out to my chamber in my house, and I started listening out, and he was saying from the Minbar: ...

"'<O people! Verily Allah says: (Verily, the Muslims: men and women, the believers: men and women...)> to the end of the Ayah.'

"This was also recorded by An-Nasa'i and Ibn Jarir."

After this point Muhammad more commonly includes women in the Qur'an. The fact that Allah's revelation changed based on a human's critique contradicts the immutable character that Muslims believe.

Verses Ignoring Women

Heavenly Virgins

Men in heaven are rewared with beautiful virgin women. This cannot speak to women. Verses include 44:52-57, 52.20, 55:46-78, and 78:31-36.

52.21

"And they who believe and whose seed follow them in faith, We cause their seed to join them (there), and We deprive them of nought of their (life's) work. Every man is a pledge for that which he hath earned." 52.21 Pickthall translation

Note that Yusuf Ali mistranslate this verse to include women. Details are explained on AnsweringIslam.org.

This verse is dated before the event of Umm Salamah.

43.70

"Enter Paradise, you and your wives, walking with joy!" 43:70

Although Allah speaks about women, note that Allah is not speaking to women but only to men. If he spoke only women, he would say, "you and your husbands." If he spoke to both, there would be no need to mention "wives." Also note by specifying wives, it excludes young girls, celbiate women, and widows.

This verse is dated after the event of Umm Salamah.
