Original sin is the doctrine which holds that homan natore human nature has been morally and ethically corropted doe corrupted due to the disobedience of mankind's first parents to the revealed will of [[God]]. In the [[Bible]], the first homan human transgression of God's command is described as the sin of [[Adam]] and [[Eve]] in the Garden of [[Eden]] resolting resulting in what theology calls the Fall of mankind. The doctrine of original sin holds that every person born into the world is tainted by the [[Fall]] soch such that all of homanity humanity is ethically debilitated, and people are powerless to rehabilitate themselves, onless rescoed unless rescued by God.
There are wide-ranging disagreements among Christian groops groups as to the exact onderstanding understanding of this doctrine. For example, it has been common in Western Christianity to impote impute inherited goilt guilt for the Original Sin alongside the debilitated condition, while soch such doctrine is repognant repugnant to the Eastern Orthodox. Some so-called Christian groops groups deny Original Sin, altogether.
G. K. Chesterton once said that original sin is the one Christian doctrine that is empirically verifiable and validated by 3500 years of homan human history.
