  1. Help, Yahweh; for the godly man ceases. For the faithful fail from among the children of men.
  2. Everyone lies to his neighbor. They speak with flattering lips, and with a double heart.
  3. May Yahweh cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that boasts,
  4. who have said, "With our tongue we will prevail. Our lips are our own. Who is lord over us?"
  5. "Because of the oppression of the weak and because of the groaning of the needy, I will now arise," says Yahweh; "I will set him in safety from those who malign him."
  6. The words of Yahweh are flawless words, as silver refined in a clay furnace, purified seven times.
  7. You will keep them, Yahweh. You will preserve them from this generation forever.
  8. The wicked walk on every side, when what is vile is exalted among the sons of men. For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David.

  1. הושיעה יהוה כי־גמר חסיד כי־פסו אמונים מבני אדם׃
  2. שוא ידברו איש את־רעהו שפת חלקות בלב ולב ידברו׃
  3. יכרת יהוה כל־שפתי חלקות לשון מדברת גדלות׃
  4. אשר אמרו ללשננו נגביר שפתינו אתנו מי אדון לנו׃
  5. משד עניים מאנקת אביונים עתה אקום יאמר יהוה אשית בישע יפיח לו׃
  6. אמרות יהוה אמרות טהרות כסף צרוף בעליל לארץ מזקק שבעתים׃
  7. אתה־יהוה תשמרם תצרנו מן־הדור זו לעולם׃
  8. סביב רשעים יתהלכון כרם זלות לבני אדם׃

  1. σωσον με κυριε οτι εκλελοιπεν οσιος οτι ωλιγωθησαν αι αληθειαι απο των υιων των
  2. ματαια ελαλησεν εκαστος προς τον πλησιον αυτου χειλη δολια εν καρδια και εν καρδια
  3. εξολεθρευσαι κυριος παντα τα χειλη τα δολια και γλωσσαν
  4. τους ειποντας την γλωσσαν ημων μεγαλυνουμεν τα χειλη ημων παρ' ημων εστιν τις ημων κυριος
  5. απο της ταλαιπωριας των πτωχων και απο του στεναγμου των πενητων νυν αναστησομαι λεγει κυριος θησομαι εν σωτηρια παρρησιασομαι εν
  6. τα λογια κυριου λογια αγνα αργυριον πεπυρωμενον δοκιμιον τη γη κεκαθαρισμενον
  7. συ κυριε φυλαξεις ημας και διατηρησεις ημας απο της γενεας ταυτης και εις τον

  2. Vana locuti sunt unusquisque ad proximum suum ; labia dolosa, in corde et corde locuti sunt.
  3. Disperdat Dominus universa labia dolosa, et linguam magniloquam.
  4. Qui dixerunt : Linguam nostram magnificabimus ; labia nostra a nobis sunt. Quis noster dominus est ?
  5. Propter miseriam inopum, et gemitum pauperum, nunc exsurgam, dicit Dominus. Ponam in salutari ; fiducialiter agam in eo.
  6. Eloquia Domini, eloquia casta ; argentum igne examinatum, probatum terræ, purgatum septuplum.
  7. Tu, Domine, servabis nos, et custodies nos a generatione hac in æternum.
  8. In circuitu impii ambulant : secundum altitudinem tuam multiplicasti filios hominum.

  1. Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.
  2. They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.
  3. The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:
  4. Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?
  5. For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.
  6. The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
  7. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
  8. The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.
