  1. Praise Yah! Praise Yahweh, my soul.
  2. While I live, I will praise Yahweh. I will sing praises to my God as long as I exist.
  3. Don't put your trust in princes, each a son of man in whom there is no help.
  4. His spirit departs, and he returns to the earth. In that very day, his thoughts perish.
  5. Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in Yahweh, his God:
  6. who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them; who keeps truth forever;
  7. who executes justice for the oppressed; who gives food to the hungry. Yahweh frees the prisoners.
  8. Yahweh opens the eyes of the blind. Yahweh raises up those who are bowed down. Yahweh loves the righteous.
  9. Yahweh preserves the foreigners. He upholds the fatherless and widow, but the way of the wicked he turns upside down.
  10. Yahweh will reign forever; your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise Yah!

  1. הללו־יה הללי נפשי את־יהוה׃
  2. אהללה יהוה בחיי אזמרה לאלהי בעודי׃
  3. אל־תבטחו בנדיבים בבן־אדם שאין לו תשועה׃
  4. תצא רוחו ישב לאדמתו ביום ההוא אבדו עשתנתיו׃
  5. אשרי שאל יעקב בעזרו שברו על־יהוה אלהיו׃
  6. עשה שמים וארץ את־הים ואת־כל־אשר־בם השמר אמת לעולם׃
  7. עשה משפט לעשוקים נתן לחם לרעבים יהוה מתיר אסורים׃
  8. יהוה פקח עורים יהוה זקף כפופים יהוה אהב צדיקים׃
  9. יהוה שמר את־גרים יתום ואלמנה יעודד ודרך רשעים יעות׃
  10. ימלך יהוה לעולם אלהיך ציון לדר ודר הללו־יה׃

  1. αλληλουια αγγαιου και ζαχαριου αινει η ψυχη μου τον
  2. αινεσω κυριον εν ζωη μου ψαλω τω θεω μου εως
  3. μη πεποιθατε επ' αρχοντας και εφ' υιους ανθρωπων οις ουκ εστιν
  4. εξελευσεται το πνευμα αυτου και επιστρεψει εις την γην αυτου εν εκεινη τη ημερα απολουνται παντες οι διαλογισμοι
  5. μακαριος ου ο θεος ιακωβ βοηθος η ελπις αυτου επι κυριον τον θεον
  6. τον ποιησαντα τον ουρανον και την γην την θαλασσαν και παντα τα εν αυτοις τον φυλασσοντα αληθειαν εις τον
  7. ποιουντα κριμα τοις αδικουμενοις διδοντα τροφην τοις πεινωσιν κυριος λυει
  8. κυριος ανορθοι κατερραγμενους κυριος σοφοι τυφλους κυριος αγαπα
  9. κυριος φυλασσει τους προσηλυτους ορφανον και χηραν αναλημψεται και οδον αμαρτωλων

  1. Alleluja, Aggæi et Zachariæ.
  2. Lauda, anima mea, Dominum. Laudabo Dominum in vita mea ; psallam Deo meo quamdiu fuero. Nolite confidere in principibus,
  3. in filiis hominum, in quibus non est salus.
  4. Exibit spiritus ejus, et revertetur in terram suam ; in illa die peribunt omnes cogitationes eorum.
  5. Beatus cujus Deus Jacob adjutor ejus, spes ejus in Domino Deo ipsius :
  6. qui fecit cælum et terram, mare, et omnia quæ in eis sunt.
  7. Qui custodit veritatem in sæculum ; facit judicium injuriam patientibus ; dat escam esurientibus. Dominus solvit compeditos,
  8. Dominus illuminat cæcos. Dominus erigit elisos ; Dominus diligit justos.
  9. Dominus custodit advenas ; pupillum et viduam suscipiet, et vias peccatorum disperdet.

  3. Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.
  4. His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.
  5. Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God:
  6. Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth for ever:
  7. Which executeth judgment for the oppressed: which giveth food to the hungry. The LORD looseth the prisoners:
  8. The LORD openeth the eyes of the blind: the LORD raiseth them that are bowed down: the LORD loveth the righteous:
  9. The LORD preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.
  10. The LORD shall reign for ever, even thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise ye the LORD.
