Red (band)
Red is a Christian alternative metal band from Nashville, Tennessee, signed to Essential Records. The band's first album, End of Silence (released June 6th, 2006), includes the singles "Breathe Into Me" and "Already Over."
Red's music is characterized by heavy, angst-asserting instrumentation (à la nu metal), and backing piano, strings, and industrial beats. This technique is often compared to Linkin Park; one member states that "it is fine with us to be compared to Linkin Park, who sold 27 million albums last year."
The band started be touring in the fall of 2006 with Kutless and Disciple. They will continue touring through February 2007 with Three Days Grace, and Flyleaf.
The song "Pieces" was written by Rob Graves (producer), about his younger brother who died. Template:Fact
Red's debut single, "Breath Into Me," topped the rock charts in 2006 and lasted 5 weeks at #1.
According to Radio and Records national airplay, their second single, "Already Over," has reached #1.
