There was a lot more to the original sin than the act of just eating the fruit from a tree that God said not to eat from, and then receiving God's punishment being banished from the garden and from his presence. The reason that God made this rule was because of what lived in the second heavens, the kingdom of Satan and all of his army. They were banished from the third heavens, where God lives because of Satan's sin against God, PRIDE! Because of Satan's hatred and jealousy towards God, his way of revenge was to tamper with the very thing that was precious to God, his creation. He wanted access to it and have it worship him instead of God. God's one rule was evidence of his love for his creation, it was his way of keeping them safe. Because of their disobedience, that other kingdom now had access to their spirits, now having the knowledge of evil! They now knew what shame and fear was,and they hid from God (Genesis 3). God teaches us in 2 Timothy 1:7 that fear isn't just our own thoughts, but a spirit that didn't come from Him, and it speaks to us lies from Satan's kingdom. God asks in Genesis 3:11, "WHO told you that you are naked?" That "WHO" was an evil spirit from the second heavens that now had access to Adam and Eve, God's creation. They had given Satan a legal right to enter because of their disobedience. Here is where our struggles exist today in our lives. Jesus came and died on the cross for us, and because that "sin nature" that lives in us didn't live in him, He became our substitutionary atonement and paid the debt we owed for our sins, that we couldn't pay ourselves. He broke the legal right that the satanic kingdom has over us. The work was all done for us, but our job is we need to appropriate in our lives. Salvation is a "FREE GIFT" from God that gives us authority over the enemy, but God says we need to work it out, take that authority and kick the enemy out of the areas of our lives where he is occupying. Fear is a spirit that can only cohabitate with you if YOU give it a legal right to talk to you by coming into agreement with it. You have to repent to God for agreeing with it(which was sin because fear is the opposite of faith and God says anything that is not of faith is sin Romans 14:23) then renew your mind with God's truths from his word. The enemy's authority in our lives only comes when we believe his lies and don't know the truth of God's word that defeats him. Isaiah 5:13 says "Therefore my people are gone into captivity, because they have no knowledge:" We are taken captive because we just didn't know! 2 Corinthians 10:4-6 tells us to take the enemy's thoughts captive, measure them against the bible, and I love verse 6," And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, WHEN your obedience is fulfilled!" WOW!!! When the enemy tries to exalt itself against the knowlege of God,we are to revenge it and destroy it, and kick it out of our thinking process and actions. Hosea 4:6 says "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee..." This freedom from the works of the enemy in our lives is a free gift from God, all we have to do is appropriate it. Depression, fear, bitterness, unforgiveness, envy, strife, rejection, performance, driveness, resentment, sef-hatred, torment, etc are all things in our lives that haven't come from God, but from the other kingdom whose main purpose is to kill steal and destroy our lives. But Jesus came to destroy the works of the enemy, and his mission is to give us life that is abundant! It all started in the garden of Eden, Jesus conquered it's power on the cross, now our job is to walk it out in our lives. The choice is ours! unsigned comment by Delrosso (talkcontribs)

I'm not sure I follow your line of thought Delrosso. Also I have trouble understanding what you mean by second heaven and third heaven - it all sounds a bit strange to me. You should let me known what you mean by second and third heaven in Talk:Heaven/discussion. --Muser 16:08, 15 November 2006 (EST)
