[[Enuma Elish]] - The Enuma Elish is the well know Mesopotamian [[creation]] myth. It was first discovered by modern scholars (in fragmentary form) in the ruined library of [[Ashurbanipal]] at the site of ancient [[Nineveh]]. The epic names the primeval gods and explains creation and the supremacy of the god [[Marduk]]. It varies significantly from the [[Genesis 1]] account of creation. Genesis reveals a single creator [[God]], who creates a good and ordered creation, and creates man in his own image.
