Enuma Elish - The Enuma Elish is the well know Mesopotamian creation myth. It was first discovered by modern scholars (in fragmentary form) in the ruined library of Ashurbanipal at the site of ancient Nineveh. The epic names the primeval gods and explains creation and the supremacy of the god Marduk. It varies significantly from the Genesis 1 account of creation. Genesis reveals a single creator God, who creates a good and ordered creation, and creates man in his own image.
