Changes

An ear of [[Text:EBD:Corn (EBD)|corn]], the [[Text:EBD:Month (EBD)|month]] of newly-ripened [[Text:EBD:Grain (EBD)|grain]] (Ex. 13:4; 23:15); the first of the Jewish ecclesiastical [[Text:EBD:Year (EBD)|year]], and the seventh of the civil year. It began about the time of the vernal equinox, on 21st March. It was called [[Text:EBD:Nisan (EBD)|Nisan]], after the [[Text:EBD:Captivity (EBD)|Captivity]] (Neh. 2:1). On the fifteenth [[Text:EBD:Day (EBD)|day]] of the month, [[Text:EBD:Harvest (EBD)|harvest]] was begun by gathering a sheaf of [[Text:EBD:Barley (EBD)|barley]], which was offered unto the [[Text:EBD:Lord (EBD)|Lord]] on the sixteenth (Lev. 23:4-11).
