(1.) A town in the Shephelah, or [[Text:EBD:Plain|plain]] country of [[Text:EBD:Judah|Judah]] (Josh. 15:44); probably the same as [[Text:EBD:Chezib|Chezib]] of Gen. 38:5 = Ain Kezbeh.

It is identified with the modern es-Zib, on the same as Chezib [[Text:EBD:wikipedia:Mediterranean|Mediterranean]], about 8 miles north of Gen. 38:5 = Ain Kezbeh[[Accho|Accho]].
