The Navarre Bible Commentary Series is a Roman Catholic series of commentaries for the whole Bible. They are based on the RSV Catholic Edition version of Scripture. The series was produced by the Theology faculty of Navarra University in Spain. The commentaries are drawn from the writings of early Christian authors, Eastern and Western fathers of the Church, Vatican II and the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and prominent contemporary spiritual writers including Josemaría Escrivá. The commentaries are designed not only to explain Biblical texts but also to discuss application to daily life.
