Zechariah 6 - Versions
Zechariah 6 Text (WEB)
  1. Again I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and behold, four chariots came out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass.
  2. In the first chariot were red horses; in the second chariot black horses;
  3. in the third chariot white horses; and in the fourth chariot dappled horses, all of them powerful.
  4. Then I asked the angel who talked with me, "What are these, my lord?"
  5. The angel answered me, "These are the four winds of the sky, which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth.
  6. The one with the black horses goes out toward the north country; and the white went out after them; and the dappled went forth toward the south country."
  7. The strong went out, and sought to go that they might walk back and forth through the earth: and he said, "Go around and through the earth!" So they walked back and forth through the earth.
  8. Then he called to me, and spoke to me, saying, "Behold, those who go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country."
  9. The word of Yahweh came to me, saying,
  10. "Take of them of the captivity, even of Heldai, of Tobijah, and of Jedaiah; and come the same day, and go into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah, where they have come from Babylon.
  11. Yes, take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set them on the head of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest;
  12. and speak to him, saying, 'Thus says Yahweh of Armies, "Behold, the man whose name is the Branch: and he shall grow up out of his place; and he shall build the temple of Yahweh;
  13. even he shall build the temple of Yahweh; and he shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule on his throne; and he shall be a priest on his throne; and the counsel of peace shall be between them both.
  14. The crowns shall be to Helem, and to Tobijah, and to Jedaiah, and to Hen the son of Zephaniah, for a memorial in the temple of Yahweh.
  15. Those who are far off shall come and build in the temple of Yahweh; and you shall know that Yahweh of Armies has sent me to you. This will happen, if you will diligently obey the voice of Yahweh your God."'"

  1. ואשב ואשא עיני ואראה והנה ארבע מרכבות יצאות מבין שני ההרים וההרים הרי נחשת׃
  2. במרכבה הראשנה סוסים אדמים ובמרכבה השנית סוסים שחרים׃
  3. ובמרכבה השלשית סוסים לבנים ובמרכבה הרבעית סוסים ברדים אמצים׃
  4. ואען ואמר אל־המלאך הדבר בי מה־אלה אדני׃
  5. ויען המלאך ויאמר אלי אלה ארבע רחות השמים יוצאות מהתיצב על־אדון כל־הארץ׃
  6. אשר־בה הסוסים השחרים יצאים אל־ארץ צפון והלבנים יצאו אל־אחריהם והברדים יצאו אל־ארץ התימן׃
  7. והאמצים יצאו ויבקשו ללכת להתהלך בארץ ויאמר לכו התהלכו בארץ ותתהלכנה בארץ׃
  8. ויזעק אתי וידבר אלי לאמר ראה היוצאים אל־ארץ צפון הניחו את־רוחי בארץ צפון׃ ס
  9. ויהי דבר־יהוה אלי לאמר׃
  10. לקוח מאת הגולה מחלדי ומאת טוביה ומאת ידעיה ובאת אתה ביום ההוא ובאת בית יאשיה בן־צפניה אשר־באו מבבל׃
  11. ולקחת כסף־וזהב ועשית עטרות ושמת בראש יהושע בן־יהוצדק הכהן הגדול׃
  12. ואמרת אליו לאמר כה אמר יהוה צבאות לאמר הנה־איש צמח שמו ומתחתיו יצמח ובנה את־היכל יהוה׃
  13. והוא יבנה את־היכל יהוה והוא־ישא הוד וישב ומשל על־כסאו והיה כהן על־כסאו ועצת שלום תהיה בין שניהם׃
  14. והעטרת תהיה לחלם ולטוביה ולידעיה ולחן בן־צפניה לזכרון בהיכל יהוה׃
  15. ורחוקים יבאו ובנו בהיכל יהוה וידעתם כי־יהוה צבאות שלחני אליכם והיה אם־שמוע תשמעון בקול יהוה אלהיכם׃ ס

  1. και επεστρεψα και ηρα τους οφθαλμους μου και ειδον και ιδου τεσσαρα αρματα εκπορευομενα εκ μεσου δυο ορεων και τα ορη ην ορη
  2. εν τω αρματι τω πρωτω ιπποι πυρροι και εν τω αρματι τω δευτερω ιπποι
  3. και εν τω αρματι τω τριτω ιπποι λευκοι και εν τω αρματι τω τεταρτω ιπποι ποικιλοι
  4. και απεκριθην και ειπα προς τον αγγελον τον λαλουντα εν εμοι τι εστιν ταυτα
  5. και απεκριθη ο αγγελος ο λαλων εν εμοι και ειπεν ταυτα εστιν οι τεσσαρες ανεμοι του ουρανου εκπορευονται παραστηναι τω κυριω πασης της
  6. εν ω ησαν οι ιπποι οι μελανες εξεπορευοντο επι γην βορρα και οι λευκοι εξεπορευοντο κατοπισθεν αυτων και οι ποικιλοι εξεπορευοντο επι γην
  7. και οι ψαροι εξεπορευοντο και επεβλεπον του πορευεσθαι του περιοδευσαι την γην και ειπεν πορευεσθε και περιοδευσατε την γην και περιωδευσαν την
  8. και ανεβοησεν και ελαλησεν προς με λεγων ιδου οι εκπορευομενοι επι γην βορρα ανεπαυσαν τον θυμον μου εν γη
  9. και εγενετο λογος κυριου προς με
  10. λαβε τα εκ της αιχμαλωσιας παρα των αρχοντων και παρα των χρησιμων αυτης και παρα των επεγνωκοτων αυτην και εισελευση συ εν τη ημερα εκεινη εις τον οικον ιωσιου του σοφονιου του ηκοντος εκ
  11. και ληψη αργυριον και χρυσιον και ποιησεις στεφανους και επιθησεις επι την κεφαλην ιησου του ιωσεδεκ του ιερεως του
  12. και ερεις προς αυτον ταδε λεγει κυριος παντοκρατωρ ιδου ανηρ ανατολη ονομα αυτω και υποκατωθεν αυτου ανατελει και οικοδομησει τον οικον
  13. και αυτος λημψεται αρετην και καθιεται και καταρξει επι του θρονου αυτου και εσται ο ιερευς εκ δεξιων αυτου και βουλη ειρηνικη εσται ανα μεσον
  14. ο δε στεφανος εσται τοις υπομενουσιν και τοις χρησιμοις αυτης και τοις επεγνωκοσιν αυτην και εις χαριτα υιου σοφονιου και εις ψαλμον εν οικω
  15. και οι μακραν απ' αυτων ηξουσιν και οικοδομησουσιν εν τω οικω κυριου και γνωσεσθε διοτι κυριος παντοκρατωρ απεσταλκεν με προς υμας και εσται εαν εισακουοντες εισακουσητε της φωνης κυριου του θεου

  1. Et conversus sum, et levavi oculos meos, et vidi : et ecce quatuor quadrigæ egredientes de medio duorum montium : et montes, montes ærei.
  2. In quadriga prima equi rufi, et in quadriga secunda equi nigri,
  3. et in quadriga tertia equi albi, et in quadriga quarta equi varii et fortes.
  4. Et respondi, et dixi ad angelum qui loquebatur in me : Quid sunt hæc, domine mi ?
  5. Et respondit angelus, et ait ad me : Isti sunt quatuor venti cæli, qui egrediuntur ut stent coram Dominatore omnis terræ.
  6. In qua erant equi nigri, egrediebantur in terram aquilonis : et albi egressi sunt post eos, et varii egressi sunt ad terram austri.
  7. Qui autem erant robustissimi, exierunt, et quærebant ire et discurrere per omnem terram. Et dixit : Ite, perambulate terram : et perambulaverunt terram.
  8. Et vocavit me, et locutus est ad me, dicens : Ecce qui egrediuntur in terram aquilonis, requiescere fecerunt spiritum meum in terra aquilonis.
  9. Et factum est verbum Domini ad me, dicens :
  10. Sume a transmigratione, ab Holdai, et a Tobia, et ab Idaia : et venies tu in die illa, et intrabis domum Josiæ filii Sophoniæ, qui venerunt de Babylone.
  11. Et sumes aurum et argentum, et facies coronas, et pones in capite Jesu filii Josedec, sacerdotis magni :
  12. et loqueris ad eum, dicens : Hæc ait Dominus exercituum, dicens : Ecce vir, Oriens nomen ejus, et subter eum orietur, et ædificabit templum Domino.
  13. Et ipse exstruet templum Domino : et ipse portabit gloriam, et sedebit, et dominabitur super solio suo : et erit sacerdos super solio suo, et consilium pacis erit inter illos duos.
  14. Et coronæ erunt Helem, et Tobiæ, et Idaiæ, et Hem filio Sophoniæ, memoriale in templo Domini.
  15. Et qui procul sunt, venient, et ædificabunt in templo Domini : et scietis quia Dominus exercituum misit me ad vos. Erit autem hoc, si auditu audieritis vocem Domini Dei vestri.

  1. And I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came four chariots out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass.
  2. In the first chariot were red horses; and in the second chariot black horses;
  3. And in the third chariot white horses; and in the fourth chariot grisled and bay horses.
  4. Then I answered and said unto the angel that talked with me, What are these, my lord?
  5. And the angel answered and said unto me, These are the four spirits of the heavens, which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth.
  6. The black horses which are therein go forth into the north country; and the white go forth after them; and the grisled go forth toward the south country.
  7. And the bay went forth, and sought to go that they might walk to and fro through the earth: and he said, Get you hence, walk to and fro through the earth. So they walked to and fro through the earth.
  8. Then cried he upon me, and spake unto me, saying, Behold, these that go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country.
  9. And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
  10. Take of them of the captivity, even of Heldai, of Tobijah, and of Jedaiah, which are come from Babylon, and come thou the same day, and go into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah;
  11. Then take silver and gold, and make crowns, and set them upon the head of Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest;
