They said to him, "See now, there are with your servants fifty strong men. Please let them go and seek your master. Perhaps the Spirit of Yahweh has taken him up, and put him on some mountain, or into some valley. He said, "You shall not send them."

Hebrew ויאמרו אליו הנה־נא יש־את־עבדיך חמשים אנשים בני־חיל ילכו נא ויבקשו את־אדניך פן־נשאו רוח יהוה וישלכהו באחד ההרים או באחת ויאמר לא תשלחו׃
Greek και ειπον προς αυτον ιδου δη μετα των παιδων σου πεντηκοντα ανδρες υιοι δυναμεως πορευθεντες δη ζητησατωσαν τον κυριον σου μηποτε ηρεν αυτον πνευμα κυριου και ερριψεν αυτον εν τω ιορδανη η εφ' εν των ορεων η εφ' ενα των βουνων και ειπεν ελισαιε ουκ
Latin dixeruntque illi : Ecce, cum servis tuis sunt quinquaginta viri fortes, qui possunt ire, et quærere dominum tuum, ne forte tulerit eum spiritus Domini, et projecerit eum in unum montium, aut in unam vallium. Qui ait : Nolite mittere.
