Hebrew ויעמד לנגדם אלימא המגוש כי זה תרגום שמו ויבקש להטות את השר מן האמונה׃
Greek ανθιστατο δε αυτοις ελυμας ο μαγος ουτως γαρ μεθερμηνευεται το ονομα αυτου ζητων διαστρεψαι τον ανθυπατον απο της πιστεως
Latin Resistebat autem illis Elymas magus (si enim interpretatur nomen ejus), quærens avertere proconsulem a fide.
