Hebrew והנה־הוא שם עלילת דברים לאמר לא־מצאתי לבתך בתולים ואלה בתולי בתי ופרשו השמלה לפני זקני העיר׃
Greek αυτος νυν επιτιθησιν αυτη προφασιστικους λογους λεγων ουχ ευρηκα τη θυγατρι σου παρθενια και ταυτα τα παρθενια της θυγατρος μου και αναπτυξουσιν το ιματιον εναντιον της γερουσιας της
Latin imponit ei nomen pessimum, ut dicat : Non inveni filiam tuam virginem : et ecce hæc sunt signa virginitatis filiæ meæ. Expandent vestimentum coram senioribus civitatis :
KJV And, lo, he hath given occasions of speech against her, saying, I found not thy daughter a maid; and yet these are the tokens of my daughter's virginity. And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.
