Hebrew כל־הנחלים הלכים אל־הים והים איננו מלא אל־מקום שהנחלים הלכים שם הם שבים ללכת׃
Greek παντες οι χειμαρροι πορευονται εις την θαλασσαν και η θαλασσα ουκ εσται εμπιμπλαμενη εις τοπον ου οι χειμαρροι πορευονται εκει αυτοι επιστρεφουσιν του
Latin Omnia flumina intrant in mare, et mare non redundat ; ad locum unde exeunt flumina revertuntur ut iterum fluant.
KJV All the rivers run into the sea; yet the sea is not full; unto the place from whence the rivers come, thither they return again.
