Hebrew ויפתח עזרא הספר לעיני כל־העם כי־מעל כל־העם היה וכפתחו עמדו כל־העם׃
Greek και ηνοιξεν εσδρας το βιβλιον ενωπιον παντος του λαου οτι αυτος ην επανω του λαου και εγενετο ηνικα ηνοιξεν αυτο εστη πας ο
Latin Et aperuit Esdras librum coram omni populo : super universum quippe populum eminebat : et cum aperuisset eum, stetit omnis populus.
