Carey, grew up listening to The Sounds of His Dad singing: Johnny Cash / -I Walk the Line, Hank Williams / -I Saw The Light,Elvis, Kitty Wells / -Honky Tonk Angels and 'n' Hymns after Church on Sundays. At the age of 16, Carey gigged week-ends in Hotels, House Parties and & Wedding Halls: covering 50's, Punk, British, Country and & Rock 'n' Blues Artists. After Ten years, He Acquired Some Live Experience in Front of Small Crowds performace skills, which eventually Landed Three Big Breaks, The First of which he He opened for an Obscure Texas Texan Band at Barrymores, Ottawa, {Who sounded like: is a Cross between Stevie Ray Vaughn meets & CCR and & Who just got off Tour with The Fabuous Thunderbirds. }

A Highschool DropoutAfter Dropping out from highschool, He moved to Toronto to pursue a music carreer fully career equipt with an Electric Guitar and an & old stereo for a amplifier.While in Toronto He frequented bars with Live bands and Jammed with Music people who had placed Band Clubs & answered Musician Newspaper adds. After several years, with no substantial leads and & minimum wage jobs, He moved back home, discouraged.

He had an Alcohol Addiction and had dabbled and drifted away from His roots, into secularism, & other philosophys and religions that left His Heart empty and & hard. He Wrestled After Wrestling with Depression, Anxiety and & Failure; then He finally listened to His Mother; Who prayed someday , He'd meet People Who could Mentor Positive Changes in His Life. So, He Decided to physically lighten His load and The Load & Sold His Truck and & Gear and Called Alcoholics Annonymous.

during which time, He was able to Get Back on to His Feet.He then completed his His Highschool diploma in an alternative school with 5 english courses and wrote some poetry { after some encouragement from a teacher} which He sent the poetry out to several universities; after some encouragement from a teacher. The "Third Awesomely Big Break " happened in a Little Country Chapel one Spring Night, May 1990. While singing Hymns to Jesus with a small group of Chruch People.
