Hebrew ויאמר יהוה אל־שמואל שמע בקול העם לכל אשר־יאמרו אליך כי לא אתך מאסו כי־אתי מאסו ממלך עליהם׃
Greek και ειπεν κυριος προς σαμουηλ ακουε της φωνης του λαου καθα αν λαλησωσιν σοι οτι ου σε εξουθενηκασιν αλλ' η εμε εξουδενωκασιν του μη βασιλευειν επ'
Latin Dixit autem Dominus ad Samuelem : Audi vocem populi in omnibus quæ loquuntur tibi : non enim te abjecerunt, sed me, ne regnem super eos.
KJV And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.
