Commentary

The Book of Zechariah is a book of the Old Testament. Its writing is attributed to the prophet Zechariah. Zechariah was commissioned by God to encourage the people in their unfinished responsibility of rebuilding the Temple.

The book can be divided into two main sections

  • Chapters 1 to 8 containing the night visions and a narrative section
  • Chapters 9 to 14
