A Christmas carol is a song whose words are on the theme of [[Christmas]]. They are traditionally sung in the period before and during [[Christmas]]. The tradition of Christmas carols goes back as far as the thirteenth century. Some famous carols include [[Hark the Herald Angels Sing (song)|Hark! The Herald Angels Sing]] and [[Silent Night (song)|Silent Night]].
