- Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
- "Speak to the children of Israel, that they take an offering for me. From everyone whose heart makes him willing you shall take my offering.
- This is the offering which you shall take from them: gold, silver, brass,
- blue, purple, scarlet, fine linen, goats' hair,
- rams' skins dyed red, sea cow hides, acacia wood,
- oil for the light, spices for the anointing oil and for the sweet incense,
- onyx stones, and stones to be set for the ephod and for the breastplate.
- Let them make me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them.
- According to all that I show you, the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all of its furniture, even so you shall make it.
- "They shall make an ark of acacia wood. Its length shall be two and a half cubits, its breadth a cubit and a half, and a cubit and a half its height.
- You shall overlay it with pure gold. You shall overlay it inside and outside, and you shall make a gold molding around it.
- You shall cast four rings of gold for it, and put them in its four feet. Two rings shall be on the one side of it, and two rings on the other side of it.
- You shall make poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold.
- You shall put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark to carry the ark.
- The poles shall be in the rings of the ark. They shall not be taken from it.
- You shall put the testimony which I shall give you into the ark.
- You shall make a mercy seat of pure gold. Two and a half cubits shall be its length, and a cubit and a half its breadth.
- You shall make two cherubim of hammered gold. You shall make them at the two ends of the mercy seat.
- Make one cherub at the one end, and one cherub at the other end. You shall make the cherubim on its two ends of one piece with the mercy seat.
- The cherubim shall spread out their wings upward, covering the mercy seat with their wings, with their faces toward one another. The faces of the cherubim shall be toward the mercy seat.
- You shall put the mercy seat on top of the ark, and in the ark you shall put the testimony that I will give you.
- There I will meet with you, and I will tell you from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubim which are on the ark of the testimony, all that I command you for the children of Israel.
- "You shall make a table of acacia wood. Two cubits shall be its length, and a cubit its breadth, and one and a half cubits its height.
- You shall overlay it with pure gold, and make a gold molding around it.
- You shall make a rim of a handbreadth around it. You shall make a golden molding on its rim around it.
- You shall make four rings of gold for it, and put the rings in the four corners that are on its four feet.
- the rings shall be close to the rim, for places for the poles to carry the table.
- You shall make the poles of acacia wood, and overlay them with gold, that the table may be carried with them.
- You shall make its dishes, its spoons, its ladles, and its bowls to pour out offerings with. You shall make them of pure gold.
- You shall set bread of the presence on the table before me always.
- "You shall make a lampstand of pure gold. Of hammered work shall the lampstand be made, even its base, its shaft, its cups, its buds, and its flowers, shall be of one piece with it.
- There shall be six branches going out of its sides: three branches of the lampstand out of its one side, and three branches of the lampstand out of its other side;
- three cups made like almond blossoms in one branch, a bud and a flower; and three cups made like almond blossoms in the other branch, a bud and a flower, so for the six branches going out of the lampstand;
- and in the lampstand four cups made like almond blossoms, its buds and its flowers;
- and a bud under two branches of one piece with it, and a bud under two branches of one piece with it, and a bud under two branches of one piece with it, for the six branches going out of the lampstand.
- Their buds and their branches shall be of one piece with it, all of it one beaten work of pure gold.
- You shall make its lamps seven, and they shall light its lamps to give light to the space in front of it.
- Its snuffers and its snuff dishes shall be of pure gold.
- It shall be made of a talent of pure gold, with all these accessories.
- See that you make them after their pattern, which has been shown to you on the mountain.

- וידבר יהוה אל־משה לאמר׃
- דבר אל־בני ישראל ויקחו־לי תרומה מאת כל־איש אשר ידבנו לבו תקחו את־תרומתי׃
- וזאת התרומה אשר תקחו מאתם זהב וכסף ונחשת׃
- ותכלת וארגמן ותולעת שני ושש ועזים׃
- וערת אילם מאדמים וערת תחשים ועצי שטים׃
- שמן למאר בשמים לשמן המשחה ולקטרת הסמים׃
- אבני־שהם ואבני מלאים לאפד ולחשן׃
- ועשו לי מקדש ושכנתי בתוכם׃
- ככל אשר אני מראה אותך את תבנית המשכן ואת תבנית כל־כליו וכן תעשו׃ ס
- ועשו ארון עצי שטים אמתים וחצי ארכו ואמה וחצי רחבו ואמה וחצי קמתו׃
- וצפית אתו זהב טהור מבית ומחוץ תצפנו ועשית עליו זר זהב סביב׃
- ויצקת לו ארבע טבעת זהב ונתתה על ארבע פעמתיו ושתי טבעת על־צלעו האחת ושתי טבעת על־צלעו השנית׃
- ועשית בדי עצי שטים וצפית אתם זהב׃
- והבאת את־הבדים בטבעת על צלעת הארן לשאת את־הארן בהם׃
- בטבעת הארן יהיו הבדים לא יסרו ממנו׃
- ונתת אל־הארן את העדת אשר אתן אליך׃
- ועשית כפרת זהב טהור אמתים וחצי ארכה ואמה וחצי רחבה׃
- ועשית שנים כרבים זהב מקשה תעשה אתם משני קצות הכפרת׃
- ועשה כרוב אחד מקצה מזה וכרוב־אחד מקצה מזה מן־הכפרת תעשו את־הכרבים על־שני קצותיו׃
- והיו הכרבים פרשי כנפים למעלה סככים בכנפיהם על־הכפרת ופניהם איש אל־אחיו אל־הכפרת יהיו פני הכרבים׃
- ונתת את־הכפרת על־הארן מלמעלה ואל־הארן תתן את־העדת אשר אתן אליך׃
- ונועדתי לך שם ודברתי אתך מעל הכפרת מבין שני הכרבים אשר על־ארן העדת את כל־אשר אצוה אותך אל־בני ישראל׃ ף
- ועשית שלחן עצי שטים אמתים ארכו ואמה רחבו ואמה וחצי קמתו׃
- וצפית אתו זהב טהור ועשית לו זר זהב סביב׃
- ועשית לו מסגרת טפח סביב ועשית זר־זהב למסגרתו סביב׃
- ועשית לו ארבע טבעת זהב ונתת את־הטבעת על ארבע הפאת אשר לארבע רגליו׃
- לעמת המסגרת תהיין הטבעת לבתים לבדים לשאת את־השלחן׃
- ועשית את־הבדים עצי שטים וצפית אתם זהב ונשא־בם את־השלחן׃
- ועשית קערתיו וכפתיו וקשותיו ומנקיתיו אשר יסך בהן זהב טהור תעשה אתם׃
- ונתת על־השלחן לחם פנים לפני תמיד׃ ף
- ועשית מנרת זהב טהור מקשה תעשה המנורה ירכה וקנה גביעיה כפתריה ופרחיה ממנה יהיו׃
- וששה קנים יצאים מצדיה שלשה קני מנרה מצדה האחד ושלשה קני מנרה מצדה השני׃
- שלשה גבעים משקדים בקנה האחד כפתר ופרח ושלשה גבעים משקדים בקנה האחד כפתר ופרח כן לששת הקנים היצאים מן־המנרה׃
- ובמנרה ארבעה גבעים משקדים כפתריה ופרחיה׃
- וכפתר תחת שני הקנים ממנה וכפתר תחת שני הקנים ממנה וכפתר תחת־שני הקנים ממנה לששת הקנים היצאים מן־המנרה׃
- כפתריהם וקנתם ממנה יהיו כלה מקשה אחת זהב טהור׃
- ועשית את־נרתיה שבעה והעלה את־נרתיה והאיר על־עבר פניה׃
- ומלקחיה ומחתתיה זהב טהור׃
- ככר זהב טהור יעשה אתה את כל־הכלים האלה׃
- וראה ועשה בתבניתם אשר־אתה מראה בהר׃ ס

- Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen, dicens :
- Loquere filiis Israël, ut tollant mihi primitias : ab omni homine qui offeret ultroneus, accipietis eas.
- Hæc sunt autem quæ accipere debeatis : aurum, et argentum, et æs,
- hyacinthum et purpuram, coccumque bis tinctum, et byssum, pilos caprarum,
- et pelles arietum rubricatas, pellesque janthinas, et ligna setim :
- oleum ad luminaria concinnanda : aromata in unguentum, et thymiamata boni odoris :
- lapides onychinos, et gemmas ad ornandum ephod, ac rationale.
- Facientque mihi sanctuarium, et habitabo in medio eorum :
- juxta omnem similitudinem tabernaculi quod ostendam tibi, et omnium vasorum in cultum ejus. Sicque facietis illud :
- arcam de lignis setim compingite, cujus longitudo habeat duos et semis cubitos : latitudo, cubitum et dimidium : altitudo, cubitum similiter ac semissem.
- Et deaurabis eam auro mundissimo intus et foris : faciesque supra, coronam auream per circuitum :
- et quatuor circulos aureos, quos pones per quatuor arcæ angulos : duo circuli sint in latere uno, et duo in altero.
- Facies quoque vectes de lignis setim, et operies eos auro.
- Inducesque per circulos qui sunt in arcæ lateribus, ut portetur in eis :
- qui semper erunt in circulis, nec umquam extrahentur ab eis.
- Ponesque in arca testificationem quam dabo tibi.
- Facies et propitiatorium de auro mundissimo : duos cubitos et dimidium tenebit longitudo ejus, et cubitum ac semissem latitudo.
- Duos quoque cherubim aureos et productiles facies, ex utraque parte oraculi.
- Cherub unus sit in latere uno, et alter in altero.
- Utrumque latus propitiatorii tegant expandentes alas, et operientes oraculum, respiciantque se mutuo versis vultibus in propitiatorium quo operienda est arca,
- in qua pones testimonium quod dabo tibi.
- Inde præcipiam, et loquar ad te supra propitiatorium, ac de medio duorum cherubim, qui erunt super arcam testimonii, cuncta quæ mandabo per te filiis Israël.
- Facies et mensam de lignis setim, habentem duos cubitos longitudinis, et in latitudine cubitum, et in altitudine cubitum et semissem.
- Et inaurabis eam auro purissimo : faciesque illi labium aureum per circuitum,
- et ipsi labio coronam interrasilem altam quatuor digitis : et super illam, alteram coronam aureolam.
- Quatuor quoque circulos aureos præparabis, et pones eis in quatuor angulis ejusdem mensæ per singulos pedes.
- Subter coronam erunt circuli aurei, ut mittantur vectes per eos, et possit mensa portari.
- Ipsos quoque vectes facies de lignis setim, et circumdabis auro ad subvehendam mensam.
- Parabis et acetabula, ac phialas, thuribula, et cyathos, in quibus offerenda sunt libamina, ex auro purissimo.
- Et pones super mensam panes propositionis in conspectu meo semper.
- Facies et candelabrum ductile de auro mundissimo, hastile ejus, et calamos, scyphos, et sphærulas, ac lilia ex ipso procedentia.
- Sex calami egredientur de lateribus, tres ex uno latere, et tres ex altero.
- Tres scyphi quasi in nucis modum per calamos singulos, sphærulaque simul, et lilium : et tres similiter scyphi instar nucis in calamo altero, sphærulaque simul et lilium. Hoc erit opus sex calamorum, qui producendi sunt de hastili :
- in ipso autem candelabro erunt quatuor scyphi in nucis modum, sphærulæque per singulos, et lilia.
- Sphærulæ sub duobus calamis per tria loca, qui simul sex fiunt procedentes de hastili uno.
- Et sphærulæ igitur et calami ex ipso erunt, universa ductilia de auro purissimo.
- Facies et lucernas septem, et pones eas super candelabrum, ut luceant ex adverso.
- Emunctoria quoque, et ubi quæ emuncta sunt extinguantur, fiant de auro purissimo.
- Omne pondus candelabri cum universis vasis suis habebit talentum auri purissimi.
- Inspice, et fac secundum exemplar quod tibi in monte monstratum est.

- And thou shalt cast four rings of gold for it, and put them in the four corners thereof; and two rings shall be in the one side of it, and two rings in the other side of it.
- And thou shalt make staves of shittim wood, and overlay them with gold.
- And thou shalt put the staves into the rings by the sides of the ark, that the ark may be borne with them.
- The staves shall be in the rings of the ark: they shall not be taken from it.
- And thou shalt put into the ark the testimony which I shall give thee.
- And thou shalt make a mercy seat of pure gold: two cubits and a half shall be the length thereof, and a cubit and a half the breadth thereof.
- And thou shalt make two cherubims of gold, of beaten work shalt thou make them, in the two ends of the mercy seat.
- And make one cherub on the one end, and the other cherub on the other end: even of the mercy seat shall ye make the cherubims on the two ends thereof.
- And the cherubims shall stretch forth their wings on high, covering the mercy seat with their wings, and their faces shall look one to another; toward the mercy seat shall the faces of the cherubims be.
- And thou shalt put the mercy seat above upon the ark; and in the ark thou shalt put the testimony that I shall give thee.
- And there I will meet with thee, and I will commune with thee from above the mercy seat, from between the two cherubims which are upon the ark of the testimony, of all things which I will give thee in commandment unto the children of Israel.
- Thou shalt also make a table of shittim wood: two cubits shall be the length thereof, and a cubit the breadth thereof, and a cubit and a half the height thereof.
- And thou shalt overlay it with pure gold, and make thereto a crown of gold round about.
- And thou shalt make unto it a border of an hand breadth round about, and thou shalt make a golden crown to the border thereof round about.
- And thou shalt make for it four rings of gold, and put the rings in the four corners that are on the four feet thereof.
- Over against the border shall the rings be for places of the staves to bear the table.
- And thou shalt make the staves of shittim wood, and overlay them with gold, that the table may be borne with them.
- And thou shalt make the dishes thereof, and spoons thereof, and covers thereof, and bowls thereof, to cover withal: of pure gold shalt thou make them.
- And thou shalt set upon the table shewbread before me alway.
- And thou shalt make a candlestick of pure gold: of beaten work shall the candlestick be made: his shaft, and his branches, his bowls, his knops, and his flowers, shall be of the same.
- And six branches shall come out of the sides of it; three branches of the candlestick out of the one side, and three branches of the candlestick out of the other side:
- Three bowls made like unto almonds, with a knop and a flower in one branch; and three bowls made like almonds in the other branch, with a knop and a flower: so in the six branches that come out of the candlestick.
- And in the candlestick shall be four bowls made like unto almonds, with their knops and their flowers.
- And there shall be a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, and a knop under two branches of the same, according to the six branches that proceed out of the candlestick.
- Their knops and their branches shall be of the same: all it shall be one beaten work of pure gold.
- And thou shalt make the seven lamps thereof: and they shall light the lamps thereof, that they may give light over against it.
- And the tongs thereof, and the snuffdishes thereof, shall be of pure gold.
- Of a talent of pure gold shall he make it, with all these vessels.
- And look that thou make them after their pattern, which was shewed thee in the mount.
