The incarnation is the concept of God in Jesus becoming a human through birth.

John described the incarnation as such

The Word became flesh, and lived among us. We saw his glory, such glory as of the one and only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14)

Although Jesus pre-existed as the Son of God, Scripture says that he took on flesh and was born in the likeness of men in human form (Philippians 2:7-8).
