The doctrine teaching of justification by faith plus works is the teaching that a person is saved by the grace of God and his cooperation with this grace by through both his faith and good works. This is taught in the Roman Catholic, and Eastern Orthodox Churches. This issue was one of the main issues causing the Reformation. Protestant churches today teach that a person is saved by faith in Christ alone. ===Arguments for and against===
