Michelangelo's Pieta, a sculputre of Mary holding the dying Jesus.

Michelangelo was an Italian Renaissance painter, sculptor, architect and poet. Some of his best-known works are the Pietà, David and the scenes from Genesis on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican.
