[[Text:EBD:Father (EBD)|Father]] (i.e., "possessor") of renown. (1.) One of the sons of [[Text:EBD:Bela (EBD)|Bela]], the son of [[Text:EBD:Benjamin (EBD)|Benjamin]] (1 Chr. 8:3); called also [[Text:EBD:Ahihud (EBD)|Ahihud]] (ver. 7).

(2.) A descendant of [[Text:EBD:Zerubbabel (EBD)|Zerubbabel]] and father of [[Text:EBD:Eliakim (EBD)|Eliakim]] (Matt. 1:13, "Abiud"); called also [[Text:EBD:Juda (EBD)|Juda]] (Luke 3:26), and [[Text:EBD:Obadiah (EBD)|Obadiah]] (1 Chr. 3:21).
