Changes

  [[Brother (EBD)|Brother]] of support = helper, one of the five whom [[Josiah (EBD)|Josiah]] sent to consult the prophetess [[Huldah (EBD)|Huldah]] in connection with the discovery of the [[Book (EBD)|book ]] of the [[Law (EBD)|law ]] (2 Kings 22:12-14; 2 Chr. 34:20). He was the son of [[Shaphan(EBD)|Shaphan]], the royal secretary, and the [[Father (EBD)|father ]] of [[Gedaliah (EBD)|Gedaliah]], [[Governor (EBD)|governor ]] of [[Judea (EBD)|Judea]] after the destruction of [[Jerusalem (EBD)|Jerusalem ]] by the [[Babylon (EBD)|Babylonians ]] (2 Kings 25:22; Jer. 40:5-16; 43:6). On one occasion he protected [[Jeremiah (EBD)|Jeremiah ]] against the [[Fury (EBD)|fury ]] of [[Jehoiakim (EBD)|Jehoiakim ]] (Jer. 26:24). It was in the [[Chamber (EBD)|chamber ]] of another son (Germariah) of Shaphan that [[Baruch (EBD)|Baruch ]] read in the [[Ear (EBD)|ears ]] of all the people [[Jeremiah (EBD)|Jeremiah's ]] roll.
