Hebrew ויחר לשאול מאד וירע בעיניו הדבר הזה ויאמר נתנו לדוד רבבות ולי נתנו האלפים ועוד לו אך המלוכה׃
Greek και πονηρον εφανη το ρημα εν οφθαλμοις σαουλ περι του λογου τουτου και ειπεν τω δαυιδ εδωκαν τας μυριαδας και εμοι εδωκαν τας
Latin Iratus est autem Saul nimis, et displicuit in oculis ejus sermo iste : dixitque : Dederunt David decem millia, et mihi mille dederunt : quid ei superest, nisi solum regnum ?
KJV And Saul was very wroth, and the saying displeased him; and he said, They have ascribed unto David ten thousands, and to me they have ascribed but thousands: and what can he have more but the kingdom?
