Hebrew ותצר לדוד מאד כי־אמרו העם לסקלו כי־מרה נפש כל־העם איש על־ ועל־בנתיו ויתחזק דוד ביהוה אלהיו׃ ס
Greek και εθλιβη δαυιδ σφοδρα οτι ειπεν ο λαος λιθοβολησαι αυτον οτι κατωδυνος ψυχη παντος του λαου εκαστου επι τους υιους αυτου και επι τας θυγατερας αυτου και εκραταιωθη δαυιδ εν κυριω θεω
Latin Et contristatus est David valde : volebat enim eum populus lapidare, quia amara erat anima uniuscujusque viri super filiis suis et filiabus : confortatus est autem David in Domino Deo suo.
KJV And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.
