===Theology of the resurrection===
Teaching us that this is part of the gospel in [[1 Corinthians 5:4]]([[1 Corinthians 15:4]]), the [[Apostle Paul]] also taught that if the resurrection did not occur, then Christian preaching is useless, the faith of Christians is useless ([[1 Corinthians 15:14]]) and Christians are yet in their sins ([[1 Corinthians 15:17]]). Elsewhere Paul tells us that Christ's resurrection was involved in the justification of believers ([[Romans 4:25]]).
The belief that Jesus Christ was resurrected physically is vindicated by Christ's own words in [[Luke 24:39]]
