Wikipedia has been criticized for slanderous mudslinging and heavy criticisms against LBU. This has caused some to question the neutrality of the article posted on Wikipedia due to its hostile and bias nature. Users on Wikipedia have gone so far as to use what's known as "original research" to support some of the negative claims against LBU. For example, a claim made by Steve Levicoff in his book entitled "Name and Frame It?" (1993) wherein he claims LBU to be a degree mill but he does not cite his sources to verify it. Some have criticized LBU for awarding students with "life experience" credits, however this is not an unusual pratice even in accredited secular universities. LBU claims that there their evaluation processes for gaining such credits is very precise and detailed. Many users on the Wikipedia that have challenged the popular view have been labled as "sockpuppets" or blocked from editing any further.
