: ''On the 7th day God rested from all his work''
But if we look around at the world today, do we see a world at rest? A world in peace? A world that is completely good?
We don’t see that do we?
So what went wrong?
The rest of Sin came into the Bible talks about what went wrong and how God is fixing it world
It's the sinful and evil things that people do that have tainted God has a purpose and a plan 's good creation
The rest All of the Bible tells us about know that purpose and plan we aren't perfect
And God’s purpose and plan involves you and me We're sinners;
Every time we are greedy, jealous, selfish - every time we do things our way instead of God has a purpose for you, and for me 's way - that's sin
This sin has really damaged God who created everything is a good God who is a God of purpose who has a purpose for each one of us 's creation
The purpose for us is simple But God has a plan to restore it
God is calling And restoring creation includes restoring us to trust him, to love him, to belong to him, to see him - his people
To become He wants to restore us to reflect his children is how the Bible describes it image once again - his image of goodness
The second Remember Genesis 1:27 - "God created humans in his image"  I simply want to end by reading another passage in the Bible  In this passage we read , Jesus is called "The Word"  This beautiful opening to John's Gospel talks about how God has sent his Son Jesus into this damaged creation to restore us to our original purpose - to be made in the image of becoming God’s children God, and how it is achieved live with God in a good creation
: ''In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through him, and nothing was created except through him. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and his life brought light to everyone. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it. He came into the very world he created, but the world didn’t recognize him. He came to his own people, and even they rejected him. But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God.''
