[[Jesus]] was crucified in [[Jerusalem]] around the year 30 AD. Three days later he appeared to his disciples, risen from the dead ([[Luke 24:46]]). He sent his disciples out into the world and today millions of people today know the risen Lord Christ and celebrate his resurrection on [[Easter Sunday]].

Teaching us that this is part of the gospel in [[1 Corinthians 5:4]], the [[Apostle Paul]] also taught that if the resurrection did not occur, then Christian preaching is useless, the faith of Christians is useless ([[1 Corinthians 15:14]]) and Christians are yet in their sins ([[1 Corinthians 15:17]]). Elsewhere Paul tells us that Christ's resurrection was involved in the justification of believers ([[Romans 4:25]]).
