Isaiah 4 Text (WEB)
  1. Seven women shall take hold of one man in that day, saying, "We will eat our own bread, and wear our own clothing: only let us be called by your name. Take away our reproach."
  2. In that day, Yahweh's branch will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the land will be the beauty and glory of the survivors of Israel.
  3. It will happen, that he who is left in Zion, and he who remains in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even everyone who is written among the living in Jerusalem;
  4. when the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from its midst, by the spirit of justice, and by the spirit of burning.
  5. Yahweh will create over the whole habitation of Mount Zion, and over her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night; for over all the glory will be a canopy.
  6. There will be a pavilion for a shade in the daytime from the heat, and for a refuge and for a shelter from storm and from rain.

  1. והחזיקו שבע נשים באיש אחד ביום ההוא לאמר לחמנו נאכל ושמלתנו נלבש רק יקרא שמך עלינו אסף חרפתנו׃ ס
  2. ביום ההוא יהיה צמח יהוה לצבי ולכבוד ופרי הארץ לגאון ולתפארת לפליטת ישראל׃
  3. והיה הנשאר בציון והנותר בירושלם קדוש יאמר לו כל־הכתוב לחיים בירושלם׃
  4. אם רחץ אדני את צאת בנות־ציון ואת־דמי ירושלם ידיח מקרבה ברוח משפט וברוח בער׃
  5. וברא יהוה על כל־מכון הר־ציון ועל־מקראה עןן יוםם ועשן ונגה אש להבה לילה כי על־כל־כבוד חפה׃
  6. וסכה תהיה לצל־יוםם מחרב ולמחסה ולמסתור מזרם וממטר׃ ף

  1. και επιλημψονται επτα γυναικες ανθρωπου ενος λεγουσαι τον αρτον ημων φαγομεθα και τα ιματια ημων περιβαλουμεθα πλην το ονομα το σον κεκλησθω εφ' ημας αφελε τον ονειδισμον
  2. τη δε ημερα εκεινη επιλαμψει ο θεος εν βουλη μετα δοξης επι της γης του υψωσαι και δοξασαι το καταλειφθεν του
  3. και εσται το υπολειφθεν εν σιων και το καταλειφθεν εν ιερουσαλημ αγιοι κληθησονται παντες οι γραφεντες εις ζωην εν
  4. οτι εκπλυνει κυριος τον ρυπον των υιων και των θυγατερων σιων και το αιμα εκκαθαριει εκ μεσου αυτων εν πνευματι κρισεως και πνευματι
  5. και ηξει και εσται πας τοπος του ορους σιων και παντα τα περικυκλω αυτης σκιασει νεφελη ημερας και ως καπνου και ως φωτος πυρος καιομενου νυκτος παση τη δοξη
  6. και εσται εις σκιαν απο καυματος και εν σκεπη και εν αποκρυφω απο σκληροτητος και

  1. Et apprehendent septem mulieres virum unum in die illa, dicentes : Panem nostrum comedemus, et vestimentis nostris operiemur : tantummodo invocetur nomen tuum super nos ; aufer opprobrium nostrum.
  2. In die illa, erit germen Domini in magnificentia et gloria, et fructus terræ sublimis, et exsultatio his qui salvati fuerint de Israël.
  3. Et erit : omnis qui relictus fuerit in Sion, et residuus in Jerusalem, Sanctus vocabitur, omnis qui scriptus est in vita in Jerusalem.
  4. Si abluerit Dominus sordes filiarum Sion, et sanguinem Jerusalem laverit de medio ejus, in spiritu judicii, et spiritu ardoris.
  5. Et creabit Dominus super omnem locum montis Sion, et ubi invocatus est, nubem per diem et fumum, et splendorem ignis flammantis in nocte : super omnem enim gloriam protectio.
  6. Et tabernaculum erit in umbraculum, diei ab æstu, et in securitatem et absconsionem a turbine et a pluvia.

  2. In that day shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.
  3. And it shall come to pass, that he that is left in Zion, and he that remaineth in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem:
  4. When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.
  5. And the LORD will create upon every dwelling place of mount Zion, and upon her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night: for upon all the glory shall be a defence.
  6. And there shall be a tabernacle for a shadow in the daytime from the heat, and for a place of refuge, and for a covert from storm and from rain.
