Jesus as the Son of God denotes the fact that, as a man, Jesus was begotten of the Father and generated in conception through divine means. Jesus' conception in Mary was done through the [[Holy Spirit]] ([[Matthew 1:20]]). He was begotten of the Father to take on the same nature of man, which includes human flesh ([[John 1:14]]).
Scripture is clear that the Son pre-existed prior to his incarnation. Jesus was involved in the Creation ([[John 1]]:1-3) and is denoted as having existed before all things were created (see [[Colosians Colossians 1]]:16-17).
