Changes

Matthew's main purpose appears to be to show that Jesus is the fulfillment of the [[Old Testament]] predictions concerning the [[Messiah]]. All of the Gospel writers quote from the Old Testament, however Matthew has nine Old Testament proof-texts that are unique to his Gospel ([[Matthew 1]]:22-23; [[Matthew 2]]:15; [[Matthew 2]]:17-18; [[Matthew 2]]:23; [[Mathew Matthew 4]]:14-16; [[Matthew 8]]:17; [[Matthew 12]]:17-21; [[Matthew 13]]:35; [[Matthew 27]]:9-10).
