[[Text:EBD:Meadow (EBD)|Meadow]] of dancing, or the dancing-meadow, the birth-place and residence of the [[Text:EBD:Prophet (EBD)|prophet]] [[Text:EBD:Elisha (EBD)|Elisha]], not far from [[Text:EBD:Beth-shean (EBD)|Beth-shean]] (1 Kings 4:12), in the [[Text:EBD:Tribe (EBD)|tribe]] of [[Text:EBD:Issachar (EBD)|Issachar]], near where the Wady el-Maleh emerges into the [[Text:EBD:Valley (EBD)|valley]] of the [[Text:EBD:Jordan (EBD)|Jordon]], "the rich meadow-land which extends about 4 miles south of Beth-shean; moist and luxuriant." Here Elisha was found at his [[Text:EBD:Plough (EBD)|plough]] by [[Text:EBD:Elijah (EBD)|Elijah]] on his return up the Jordan valley from [[Text:EBD:Horeb (EBD)|Horeb]] (1 Kings 19:16). It is now called `Ain Helweh.
