Isaiah 53:12

Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he poured out his soul to death, and was numbered with the transgressors; yet he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. Isaiah 53:12

Isaiah 53:12 is part of the beautiful yet sad passage of Isaiah 53 that is understood as a prophecy of Jesus and what he has done for man. In this verse we are reminded that Jesus was executed as a criminal and sinner, yet he was not either of these, but was in fact being punished for the sins and crimes of others. (Read more)
