Text

The story of the the resurrection of Christ is recorded in each of the gospels. It can be found at Matthew 28, Mark 16, Luke 24 and John 20-21.

Old Testament

Theology of the resurrection

Teaching us that this is part of the gospel in 1 Corinthians 5:4, the Apostle Paul also taught that if the resurrection did not occur, then Christian preaching is useless, the faith of Christians is useless (1 Corinthians 15:14) and Christians are yet in their sins (1 Corinthians 15:17). Elsewhere Paul tells us that Christ's resurrection was involved in the justification of believers (Romans 4:25).

The belief that Jesus Christ was resurrected physically is vindicated by Christ's own words in Luke 24:39
